Is Vienna Right for You?
Vienna Neighborhood: Vienna is a suburb in northern Virginia located at the end of the orange line. Here you’ll find typical suburban sprawl—multi-lane highways, strip malls, and a mix of townhouses and single-family homes. The biggest upside to this area is proximity to the Smithsonian Udvar-Hazy museum that features hundreds of real fighter jets, and the space shuttle. This is a fairly affluent area where the biggest struggle will be the traffic and the area’s general lack of walkability. Expect to spend over 30 minutes commuting in the city. or bikers and joggers, the W & OD Trail conveniently runs through Vienna on its way to the rest of Arlington (and runs right by Caboose Brewing Company if you need nourishment on your ride/walk). Attractions in Vienna include nearby Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts and Meadowlark Botanical Gardens, which features trails, a pond, and a children’s garden.
