The Best Twinbrook Hotel: Hilton
Why: Next to the Metro, Free Wifi
There are two hotels near the Twinbrook Metro. We recommend taking a look at the Hilton first because it is right next to the Metro and offers a more traditional hotel experience. The Even Hotel across the street usually has cheaper rates, but the experience might turn off some travelers. Even Hotels are built around a wellness experience, rooms have workout gear and the hotel restaurant is call Cork and Kale. Some guests described the rooms as small and Spartan. It’s important to note Even offers a shuttle to the Metro and accommodates pets while Hilton does not. Parking at paid at either option, but it is relatively small parking fee. Wifi is free. For most travelers we believe Hilton will be the hotel of choice near the Twinbrook Metro. Use the widget below and enter your dates to find out which hotel offers the best deal.
Twinbrook Neighborhood: The Twinbrook metro stop is located in the Maryland suburb of Rockville, north of DC and Bethesda on the red line. The metro is located on the bustling Rockville Pike, containing strip malls and shopping centers, with townhomes and single-family homes as you move farther out from the Pike, and the area is made up of affluent families and professionals.
Things to Do: Those looking to dive into Maryland history can visit the Montgomery County Historical Society or head to Civic Center Park, where you’ll find Glenview Mansion, the Croydon Creek Nature Center, trails, gardens, and playgrounds. For visitors looking to get active, Rock Creek Park offers miles of trails that lead all the way to Georgetown in DC, and Rockville is also home to Earth Treks Climbing Center and Zipline and Aerial Adventure Parks.
What to Eat: The area directly around the hotel is made up of generic strip malls with national chain restaurants—think Chili’s and Olive Garden—and national chain shopping—Target, Payless, etc. Taking the metro south to Bethesda will give you many more dining and shopping options. However, if you have a car, there are plenty of attractions in Rockville. La Brasa Latin Cuisine is a favorite of locals, as is Polish deli the Kielbasa Factory. Try to make it to Twin Valley Distillers to try their handcrafted, locally sourced bourbon whiskeys, rums, and vodkas.
