The Best Friendship Heights Hotel: Courtyard
Why: Better Rates, Lower Parking Fees, Free Wifi
There are two hotels within walking distance the Friendship Heights Metro station in Chevy Chase. Of the two most travelers will prefer the Courtyard because rates are usually lower, wifi is free, and parking costs less. Embassy Suites may appeal to families or groups because each room has a living area and breakfast is provided for free. Embassy Suites is also closer to the Metro station. Eco-conscious travelers will appreciate that the Courtyard runs on 100% renewable energy and is a LEED certified energy efficient hotel. There is an outdoor pool at Courtyard. A vast majority of online reviews praise Courtyard. Unless you need a large room we suggest making Courtyard the first priority if you plan to stay at Friendship Heights. Friendship Heights Neighborhood: Friendship Heights is an upscale neighborhood just north of Washington, DC in Maryland. While there is an urban feel along the main drag of the neighborhood, Wisconsin Avenue, you’ll quickly find yourself in a more suburban setting, with single family homes dominating the neighborhood. This is a very safe area with a good mix of young professionals, families, and long-time residents. The main attraction in Friendship Heights is its shopping. Home to stores ranging from TJMaxx to Dior, this area boasts four different shopping centers. While mostly national chains, you will find a few local shops, most notably independent bookstore Politics and Prose.

Local favorites Clyde’s of Chevy Chase and Chadwick’s offer family-friendly atmosphere and menus that will offer something for everyone.
