Recommended Hotel: Cambria Suites
Why: New Hotel, In Town Sq. Affordable Rates
Located in Rockville Town Square Cambria Suites is the only hotel within walking distance to the Rockville Metro station. Compared to other hotels along the red line in the N.E. suburbs of Maryland, Cambria Suites usually has better rates than options at Twinbrook, White Flint, and Bethesda. One drawback is the parking fee of $15 per day. Parking is free at all hotels near the Shady Grove. Online reviews for this new hotel are overwhelming positive. If you are traveling to D.C. and want to stay along I-270 Cambria Suites is an excellent choice.
Rockville Neighborhood: Rockville is located just off I-270 north along the red line in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC. It takes nearly 40 minutes to commute into Washington, DC. There is only one hotel within walking distance to the Metro station and that is the Cambria Suites. The Rockville Metro has parking available, but only 22 spots. Parking is $5 per day. Rockville is home to Rockville Town Center which is a small corridor of restaurants and shopping. Beyond this small square you will need a car to get around the congested suburban area filled with single family homes and strip malls.
