The Embassy Suites brand is regarded as an affordable 3.5 star hotel line. Of the four Embassy Suites near DC metro lines, the clear favorite is in Friendship Heights. Although a little pricey, you’ll find DC is fully accessible with plenty to do nearby. Rooms are typically larger here compared to others, and the included amenities like free breakfast, wifi and pool gives the location a bit of luxury.
The King Street location also has a nice area, but on average is more costly, with a longer commute and higher parking fees. Pentagon City has cheaper rates and is close to DC and the airport, but the whole area pretty much shuts down for sleep by 6pm. Spring Hill offers the best weekend rates and least expensive parking fee, unfortunately the quality of the rooms are lacking. If you want to stay in an Embassy Suites, check out the Friendship Heights location first (it’s well worth the extra money).
